As part of the Sales  team at MoEngage, here are some things you can expect:

  • Be the face of the company and drive relationship with C level executives in some of the biggest and hottest startups of India  
  • Get 100% ownership of the accounts assigned to you and full autonomy to drive them home, no micro-management
  • Work with a lean team of go-getters in a fast-paced environment which will accelerate your learning and growth 
  • Work with clients across domains and PAN India and not be bound by specific geography or verticals
  • Interact with teams from different domain, including engineering, product, commercials and get hands-on experience of dealing with team members from different domains 

About the Sales team: 

You will be part of the India sales team which is responsible for revenue generation from clients originating from India. The team is segmented into SMB, Mid-market and Enterprise sales. Focuses on digital-first clients as well as retail clients. Some of the important tasks for the team include: 

  • Identifying prospective clients and mapping the right stakeholders 
  • Create a network of influencers in the industry who can help create a network effect and increase our outreach/presence 
  • Be updated about the industry movement of key personnel at client end 
  • Competition mapping and understanding the key differences between us vs our competitors 
  • Stay on top of emerging trends in technology and new business opportunities
  • Be the eyes and ears of the company and share regular product feedback of clients/ prospects with product team 
  • Overall responsibility for managing new business development, hitting and exceeding sales targets for the Indian market
  • Meet or exceed sales target for assigned enterprise accounts
  • Handle End to End sales cycle from Product demo, Technical Evaluation, Multi-threading, Establishing value to multiple stakeholders, Negotiating, to putting a paycheck on the table 
  • Work closely with Inside sales and Marketing to generate leads, nurture them and convert them into opportunities.
  • Be comfortable in cold calling/ emailing to generate leads and interest from prospect clients
  • Develop and maintain CxO relationships across new prospects and partners in the region
  • Evangelize key trends in the mobile marketing ecosystem and identify emerging trends in the region to shape the future of MoEngage product
  • Participate and represent MoEngage at various external events, forums to build the status of a trusted advisor on all things Customer Engagement
  • Establish account relationships with key decision makers for our customers in the region to build customer loyalty and capitalise on expansion opportunities in the account
  • 10+ years of closing experience in sales with minimum 3 years of experience in SaaS domain for the Indian region, preferably Digital Marketing or Similar solutions like cloud marketing, lead generation, UX / UI technology sales  
  • Great SaaS ecosystem awareness and have closed $100K+ deals solo in a B2B SaaS "fast-paced" setting
  • Must have a strong network of clients/ connections in the digital or traditional industries
  • Must have pitched to C level executives in marketing/product or technology domain of digital-first and/or traditional companies
  • Experience conducting product demonstrations with the ability to build relevant, strategic messaging
  • Must have strong verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen
  • Must be detail-oriented, organised & self-motivated
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Proven record of achieving sales quota throughout
  • Strong Entrepreneurial spirit - Madly in pursuit of customer success/delight
