What will you be doing?

You will facilitate the development of long term product strategy and high-impact business and product decisions. You will leverage fact based analyses, consumer insights and product understanding to shape the long term priorities and focus for MoEngage and drive new key initiatives.

In this role, you will work along with the Leadership team to define, lead and execute the product strategy. You will help drive the strategy and vision for MoEngage product and pursue some of the most exciting opportunities to champion them. You will develop a hypothesis, conduct user/market research to inform your product strategy or new initiatives. You would be working in a Build, Operate & transfer model.

You will play a key role by:

  • Developing deep understanding of SaaS & Marketing Tech in the world, the key players and competition by analyzing and understanding macro level industry trends
  • Understanding the key technology trends in the Martech and SaaS industry, their impact and implications for our business
  • Helping develop long-term product strategy for MoEngage with a strong customer- and market-backed perspective
  • Translating strategies into action by liaising with cross-functional leadership and drive the changes required
  • Identify and evaluate the next big products/features and opportunities to drive revenue growth by bringing together outside-in customer and market view with inside-out understanding of capabilities and what it takes to win

Key responsibilities:

  • Synthesize and derive product strategy and vision from interactions with customers, business stakeholders, legal and policy teams, competitive insights and market trends; Evangelize the strategy and ensure that it is evolving with market trends

Evaluate new business/product initiatives, create business cases outlining projected impact for each initiative to be prioritized on the roadmap. One is expected to bring value addition by thinking big, continuously pitching new product ideas backed by  market/customer insights

  • Build and manage an actionable product roadmap of new initiatives based on strategy; Champion and evangelize new ideas and get bandwidth allocated;  Launch products and features that solve customer problems and help them achieve outcomes.  
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, product, customer success and support, and design teams to ensure alignment on roadmap and prioritization, and product delivery, sales and adoption
  • Manage the entire product line’s life cycle from strategic planning to Go-to-market activities. Provide initiative rollout status & monitor impact of each initiative launched. Define key business and product metrics. Track the metrics and drive the entire plan of action to achieve results

Skills & Requirements

  • 6+ years in software product management out of which at-least 2+ years are spent in defining and executing Product strategy (conception to GTM & Revenue) backed by market research - customers/market/competition;
  • Or 2+ years in management consulting followed by  2-3 years of experience in Product management with a consistent record of timely and quality delivery of software products
  • Skill to fall in love with a problem than the solution, Product thinking with understanding of both qualitative and quantitative measures to make decision
  • Knowledge in developing elegant and simple feature functionalities which deliver the world-class user experience
  • Experience leading product teams establishing product roadmaps and ensuring teams deliver on key achievements; 
  • High bias for action with demonstrable history of identifying and resolving cross-project interdependencies 
  • Ability to juggle several initiatives and shift priorities as needed
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written communication) with a knack for storytelling backed by data based insights
  • Awareness on Information Security concepts and Best Practices
  • Experience of 2 or more years in one or more of the following is a plus:  SaaS, Marketing Automation, Customer Communication etc
